One of Germany’s best-known scenic mountain roads, the Schwarzwaldhochstraße follows the B500 along the heights of the northern Black Forest. Running through dense forests and open mountain landscapes, the route connects some of the region’s most spectacular viewpoints and highland scenery.

For drivers, the appeal is in the flow of the road — long sweeping bends, elevation changes and sections where the forest suddenly opens to reveal wide views across the Black Forest and beyond.
